Introduction¶
Phytopian is a free planning tool designed for farmers and gardeners. It helps you organize your growing location, track plantings, visualize your garden layout, and manage tasks efficiently.
You can access Phytopian on any computer, tablet, or mobile device with an internet connection by visiting app.phytopian.com.
Phytopian Basics¶
Phytopian operates on three key concepts:
- Visual Plans: Organize your growing tasks and plantings by location. Each plan is associated with specific area.
- Plants: Store data about various plant varieties, including planting stages, harvest times, and corresponding tasks. Adding a plant makes it available for inclusion in a planting but doesn't generate tasks by itself.
- Plantings: Add plants to your plan by specifying details like quantity, spacing and planting stages (e.g., seed, seedling, maturity). Creating a planting adds it to your plan and generates all associated growing tasks.
Additional concepts include:
- Planting Area: Used in the Visual Planner to organize your plantings visually. You can create multiple planting area per location and add new plantings within each.
- Tasks: Generated upon creating plantings. Add your predefined or customized tasks for your plantings.
Getting Started¶
To begin using Phytopian, follow these steps:
Creating Your Account¶
Creating an account is simple:
- Visit app.phytopian.com.
- Enter your name, email, and password.
If you forget your password, you can reset it here. For further assistance, contact support.
Creating Your Company¶
After creating your account, set up a campany:
- Enter a name for your compant (e.g., your farm name).
- This will create a separate entity and necessary presets for you.
